Applicants must meet the following:
- Two years of classroom teaching experience
Unconditional Admission
- Current GRE score of 500 on quantitative, 500 on verbal and 4.0 on written sections of the GRE. 2 of 3 GRE scores must meet minimum requirement. Students may complete up to six graduate hours without GRE scores.
- 3.0 GPA during the last 60 hours of undergraduate coursework and a 3.0 average on all graduate work
- 3 recommendations on file

Applicants who do not meet two out of the three minimum scores listed above for the GRE sections or have a GPA less than 3.0 will be considered for probationary admission on the basis of the following:
- 3.5 overall GPA during first 12 hours (4 courses)
- Professionally relevant experience
- Writing sample evaluated by the COEd Graduate Studies Committee.
Student Requirements
After being admitted and after completing any probationary period, students must meet the following:
- Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above in order to continue in this graduate program.
- All pre graduation requirements should be completed before registering in the capstone course.
