Welcome!
The UT Arlington College of Education has been recognized as a state and national leader in Literacy Studies. Moreover, our Literacy faculty has been acknowledged for their long-time work in distance education. In fact, US News and World Report ranked our M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction with an Emphasis in Literacy Studies as one of the top three in the nation. We are continually working to make our courses and degrees accessible to students who need and prefer alternative forms of delivery.
We are introducing yet another distance education option for students who wish to earn an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction with an Emphasis in Literacy Studies. We will also be offering an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction with an Emphasis in Mathematics Education and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction with an Emphasis in Science Education. These new degree options will remove barriers of access and affordability and will be offered to teachers in school districts throughout the state.
Students in our partner districts will pay $4,950 for tuition and will be able to complete these degrees in 18 months. This tuition does not cover books or fees for application and graduation. UT Arlington will remain solely responsible for all M.Ed. course content, course structure, and final course grades. Additionally, coaches help facilitate student navigation of the course and the time frames for the modular delivery via internet that is accessed by students individually.
