Applicants must meet the following requirements for admission to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Complete online Texas Common Application and submit application fee
- Official transcripts* must be submitted to the UT Arlington Office of Admissions and Records by the deadline.
- Complete the Health Education Systems, Inc. Admission Assessment (HESI A2) exam in Math, Grammar, Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, Personality & Learning Styles.
- Complete twelve of sixteen credit hours of natural sciences by the application deadline.
- All prerequisites, including the three nursing prerequisites, must be successfully completed prior to beginning the nursing program.
- Must have a minimum 2.5 Grade Point Average (GPA) in required prerequisites/lower division coursework and natural sciences in order to be considered for admission.
- Top applicants will be invited to interview.
- The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) exam is required if the applicant’s native or first language is not English and if he or she does not hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. institution. Students who are not exempt based on the countries listed in the catalog, but who can provide documentation of attendance and graduation from a secondary English speaking school in their native country or the US, will be exempt from the requirement.
